Ingredients:

1 lg Onion; coarsely chopped
2 tbs Butter or margarine
1 md Cabbage head – (about 2 lbs) coarsely shredded
1 cn Spam luncheon meat – (7 oz) diced
1/2 c Water
1/2 ts Caraway seeds
1/2 ts Salt
1/8 ts Freshly-ground black pepper
2 tbs Vinegar
2 ts Sugar

Methods:

In large saucepan, saute onion in butter until golden brown, stirring often. Add cabbage, Spam, water, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in vinegar and sugar; mix well.
